I was brought up in a council house that my folks had respect for. The sale of council houses was the biggest disgrace and treachery to our society. Sel-defeating in so many ways and, like much of Thatcher's policies, was like selling your winter coat in the summer because the sun's out and you don't need it.

So you KNOW what happened to the money from the sale?

Goggle i was involved in Thatchers great crusade to free the Falklands in 1982.A great way to get support for a ailing government, send young men poorly equiped, young men thousands of miles to fight for a pointless cause. hold on!is history repeating itself? i kid you not and this is an awful thing to say but people in the North East will put their backs out dancing when that woman dies.

It's not an awful thing to say in my house, alf.

I can't begin to express how much I despise that woman. I wrote her name down here but I can't even speak her name out loud.

I hate the fact that she's got dementia. It means she'll not grasp everything that's around her today and will cling on to the past, like the 80s.

It's a crying shame what her government did to British society in the long, LONG term.

It's not an awful thing to say here either. THAT'S a good reason for a street party if EVER I heard one.
